Serve Others

"I am the vine. You are the branches.”

Westminster members at Camp Good Hope in the Gulf Coast region
We act on the conviction that our Christian community exists for the nourishment of Westminster’s church family and of others. We seek to care for our neighbors in our local community and around the world.

Westminster offers donations of time, talent, and resources to those in need.  Volunteers prepare and serve meals and provide clothing, furniture, holiday meals, and many essentials to the poor and homeless.  We work with local organizations including Loaves & Fishes, South Park Inn, Meals on Wheels, Covenant to Care, Hopeworks, St. Elizabeth House, the Boy Scouts of America Troop 163, Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-Step programs.  We provide financial contributions to more than 10 local organizations and more than half of our mission funds support worldwide mission.

Mission Trips are also an important component of our outreach. This year two groups from Westminster went to the Gulf Coast to continue the rebuilding efforts in a town devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
